Monthly Support Meetings
Let’s Talk About It: The Power of Healing provides monthly support meetings for survivors of sexual assault who need a safe and confidential space to talk, share, and receive encouragement. These meetings allow individuals to connect with others who understand their experiences and are also working toward healing.
The meetings are designed to provide emotional support, guidance, and a sense of community for survivors who may feel alone or unsure of where to turn.
Purpose of the Meetings
The purpose of the monthly meetings is to help survivors:
Talk openly in a safe environment
Receive support from others with similar experiences
Build confidence and self-esteem
Learn healthy coping skills
Stay connected to a supportive community
Focus on healing and personal growth
These meetings are led in a respectful and supportive setting where participants are encouraged to share only what they feel comfortable sharing.
Who Can Attend
Our monthly meetings are open to survivors who are seeking support, guidance, and a safe place to begin the healing process. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds who want to be part of a positive and understanding environment.
Meeting information is provided through the organization, and participants may contact us for details about dates, times, and location.
Developing Day Program
Let’s Talk About It: The Power of Healing is working to develop a structured day program to provide survivors of sexual assault with a safe and supportive place to come during the day for guidance, activities, and personal growth.
Many survivors struggle with isolation, emotional stress, and lack of support after experiencing trauma. The purpose of the day program is to create a positive environment where individuals can focus on healing, building confidence, and working toward stability.
This program is being developed to offer a safe space where survivors can participate in group activities, life skills development, and supportive discussions while surrounded by people who understand their experiences.
What the Day Program Will Provide
The developing day program is planned to include:
Supportive group activities
Life skills and goal-setting sessions
Emotional support and peer interaction
Educational workshops
Guidance toward housing and stability
Referrals to counseling and community resources
These activities are designed to help survivors stay motivated, connected, and focused on rebuilding their lives.
Our Goal for the Day Program
Our goal is to create a structured program that helps survivors feel safe, supported, and encouraged while they work toward independence and long-term stability.
As our organization continues to grow, we plan to expand this program to serve more individuals in Winston-Salem and surrounding communities who need a place where they can heal and move forward.
Future Plans
Let’s Talk About It: The Power of Healing plans to continue developing programs that provide daily support, housing opportunities, and long-term stability for survivors.
The day program will become an important part of our mission to help individuals move from surviving to healing, and from healing to stability.
